Our VGS Learning Centre is stocked with a unique collection of paper-based resources. You can search our online VGS Library Catalogue for further details.  We also provide access at our Centre to digital resources including ancestry.com and findmypast.co.uk (library editions), and other VGS indexes.

We provide two desktop computers and two laptops for use by our patrons, and provide wifi access for those able to bring their own laptop or mobile device. The Learning Centre is also a great place to meet and connect with other genealogy enthusiasts and make new friends over a cup of coffee or tea.

Provincial Health Officer guidelines are continually monitored and implemented with the health and safety of our members and visitors in mind.

As a benefit of membership, VGS members have free access to the resources at our Centre.

Guests and non-members are welcome.  Their first visit is free.  There is a nominal fee of $5 for subsequent visits.

Our VGS Learning Centre has a limited capacity of about 15, so can only be used for small events or meetings.  These may include in-person or hybrid events that combine limited in-person attendance with Zoom presentations.

Please always check our Events Calendar for the exact location of each VGS event.

See below for other VGS event locations.

Locations for VGS Events

Many VGS events will continue online via Zoom, some with in-person options.
However, some VGS events are now held only in person.

Please always check our Events Calendar for the exact location of each VGS event.
