The Victoria Genealogical Society (VGS) is pleased to announce the launch of its new Media Hub, a centralized online resource designed to make it easier than ever for journalists, partners, and the public to access information about the Society, its services, and its ongoing contributions to family history research in Victoria, across Canada, and around the world.

“Our new Media Hub reflects our commitment to accessibility, transparency, and public education,” said a VGS spokesperson. “It provides a one-stop location for media and community members to learn who we are, what we do, and how we support people in discovering their family stories.”

As interest in local history, migration stories, and DNA-based research continues to grow, the Society hopes the Media Hub will strengthen relationships with media organizations, educators, heritage groups, and the broader public.

Our VGS Ambassador service is engaged in promoting genealogy and family history in our community, in person or via Zoom. Our most popular talks introduce people to the world of genealogy with basic tips to get the audience started on their own family trees.
